Jonathon Whiteley, MD Asia Pacific, Incisive Media
Jonathon began his media career working for The Treasurer magazine, moving to the Financial Times group in 1996. He joined Incisive Media in 1998 and in 1999 launched the highly successful Mortgage Solutions brand in addition to his role as Publishing Director of the insurance publishing division.
In 2004 following its acquisition by Incisive Media, he assumed the role of Managing Director of Initiative Europe, the foremost provider of online business intelligence to the PE and investment banking community in Europe. In 2006 Jonathon managed the acquisition and integration of the Asian Venture Capital Group (AVCJ) to create the Alternative Asset division – the largest private equity media group outside the US.
Since 2008 Jonathon has been located in Hong Kong and is responsible for Incisive Media’s strategy and operations across Asia Pacific. The Asia Pacific business has more than 100 staff in offices in Hong Kong, Beijing and Delhi.
He also retains his P&L responsibility for the Alternative Assets portfolio.
