CRN sharpens its offering for UK technology resellers
- 1 Sep 2009
LONDON (1 September 2009) - Incisive Media’s Computer Reseller News, better known as CRN, today reveals a new brand identity and radically redesigned print publication.
CRN is the UK’s leading business publication for entrepreneurs in the IT and communications industries. It specifically targets firms working in the channel between large technology vendors and the businesses that put technology to use. This industry is a diverse and thriving part of the UK economy.
Today’s edition of CRN offers a completely new look and reveals a new logo, incorporating the address of the paper’s sister web site, ChannelWeb.co.uk.
The print redesign aims to improve the readability of the publication, while the new logo will help to cement the association between CRN in print and ChannelWeb online.
A pioneering brand, CRN leads its field, delivering news and analysis through print, web, ebook, email and mobile publications, plus regularly updated blogs and online videos.
Commenting on the redesigned print edition, CRN Editor Sara Yirrell said: “We have undergone a redesign that reflects the more modern flavour we are trying to project. The format itself has not changed – we are still very much a news-focused publication in keeping with our readers’ wishes. We have designed a new logo that is still instantly recognisable as CRN, but that brings our image into the 21st century.
“However, the biggest change is the prominence of our web site URL. This is to encourage even more readers to visit the site which is updated with news, features and comments on a regular basis every day.
“Many readers have not associated Channelweb with CRN in the past, so this will help to clear up any confusion.”
The CRN and ChannelWeb brands are owned by United Business Media and are used in the UK by Incisive Media under licence. CRN has been published in the UK since 1999 and is currently distributed to 14,000 individuals.
