Two Incisive Media journalists were successful in the highly respected State Street Institutional Press Awards.
Jenna Towler, news editor of Professional Pensions, was named News Journalist of the Year - Trade and Magda Ali, a reporter on Structured Products, triumphed as Best Newcomer.
Magda’s editor, Richard Jory, said the award was richly deserved: “Magda is consistent in her ability to produce interesting stories, and has developed a particular talent for picking stories that attract a good online audience. The story that won her the award was written in Magda’s first year in what is her first job, and gives an idea of the maturity she brings to the editorial team.
Jenna is no stranger to success at awards ceremonies having previously won awards presented by the Society of Pensions Consultants as well as Incisive Media’s own internal awards.
The awards were handed out at a lunch event in London last week by John Nugée, head of the Official Institutions Group at State Street Global Advisors. Mr Nugée said this year’s awards, which have been running since 2002, were the most popular yet, with a record 142 entries across all categories.
