Post scoops top award for fourth year

Post, the leading information brand for the UK insurance market, retains its ABI crown.

post-abi-media-awardPost was acclaimed as the winner of the Financial Trade Publication of the Year at the 2012 Association of British Insurers’ Financial Media Awards, last night.
It is the fourth year in a row that Post has won the highly coveted title.
Editor-in-chief Jonathan Swift said: "This is a deserved reward for the immense effort that the team puts in every day to keep Post ahead of the competition in print and online. For that to be recognised by the industry is truly gratifying."

He added: "This year has been another notable year for the title, not least for the launch of the iPad edition, and the increased activity in the social media space, both on Twitter and Facebook.”

Mr Swift concluded: “Special mention should also go to Post senior reporter Chinwe Akomah, who was the only person on a trade title to be short-listed for up-and-coming financial journalist of the year, which is great recognition for how far she has come since joining Post in the summer of 2011.”

Editor Lynn Rouse and her team collected the award - which was sponsored by Ageas - at a gala dinner in London which was attended by journalists and press officers from across the financial services sector. The awards were hosted by former Sunday Times editor and TV presenter Andrew Neil, who is pictured with the Post team.
