Computeractive is the UK's best-selling home technology magazine. Aimed at people who want to know how to work their PC, not how their PC works, it is endorsed by the Plain English Campaign.
Readers trust Computeractive to tell them how to get the best value from their technology purchases. The magazine is full of step-by-step guides, problem-solving advice, hints, tips and practical buying advice. The focus is always on gaining new skills, confidence and value for money.
Computeractive is one of the top 15 largest subscription titles in the UK. It has a circulation of 118,188 copies (ABC January – December 2011). It also has a loyal readership with over 70 per cent of readers buying the magazine for more than three years. Computeractive is also available as an iPad app.

Computeractive believes that everybody has the right to benefit from computers and the internet. However, many people in the UK are marginalised by hardware and software that is unintuitive and poorly designed.
Consumers find little help on offer from websites and manuals that are littered with jargon. Computeractive's mission is to open the world of home computing and the internet to all.
We explain how to use computers, software, gadgets and more, using plain English that everyone can understand.
We seek to educate people of all ages and technical abilities, from the most anxious novice to experienced users, with our step-by-step approach. We always point out the benefit of technology, linking projects to real-life tasks to give practical value.
We also recognise that choosing and buying technology products can be a fraught experience for many people. Our product reviews judge first and foremost whether products are good at the task for which they are designed, rather than whether they are ‘stylish’.
Above all, we aim to provide readers with the knowledge and resources to develop their own skills and build their technical confidence. We encourage people to get stuck in and learn for themselves.
