Please sum up your role in a few sentences
I have responsibility for managing a portfolio of conference titles within the Risk and Trading Technology divisions. This involves producing a number of the most important events myself and managng a team of conference producers to ensure the portfolio of events are delivered with the highest quality content, most senior industry speakers, and produced within agreed deadlines which exceed financial targets.

What has been the professional highlight for you since working at Incisive Media?
Bad weather in 2010 closed many of the train lines in the South East and prevented half the team (who were involved in running the Credit Institute event) from getting into the office. We had to quickly formulate and implement a plan of action to assess the viability of running the event. Speakers, delegates and sponsors were all called to ensure they could attend and wanted to go ahead, and I stepped in to open the event. If we had to cancel we would have taken quite a large financial hit and the determination to pull it off was made all the more worthwhile when we received outstanding feedback from the attendees who felt that the level of speakers, debate and interaction with the audience at this event had made it the best Credit Institute event to date.

What element of your job do you enjoy the most?
I enjoy meeting and developing strong working relationships with senior and key industry players. These contacts help me to do my job better.

What has been your favourite moment at Incisive Media so far?
I took the event team to a "spit and sawdust" cowboy shack for a Texas BBQ when we were in Houston for Energy Risk USA. I had to persuade a very reluctant publisher to go there and we were all clearly overdressed but we had great fun, good food and an experience we won't forget
