The Incisive Media events team was in the spotlight at the 2013 Conference Awards, winning the Best Awards Experience and being finalists in five other categories
The British Insurance Awards is one of Incisive Media’s largest and most successful events. It takes place annually at the Royal Albert Hall in July and is well established as the Oscars of the Insurance Industry.
It was launched in 1995 and the team behind the event strives each year to set new standards for the quality of the event attended by almost 2,000 people, an achievement recognised by their success in the prestigious Conference Awards. These took place on Friday at The Brewery, Chiswell Street (http://www.thebrewery.co.uk) and were hosted by Jo Brand.
“The win was a testimony to the fantastic efforts of the project team, who broke all sales records, filled nearly every tier of the Royal Albert Hall and created a spectacular evening featuring fabulous food, outstanding entertainment and much-coveted industry accolades”, said Fiona Paterson, Group Head of Event Operations.
Incisive Media was also hopeful of retaining their Best Operations Team title for a second successive year, but were unfortunately pipped to the post by Informa. The quality of their entry, however, was recognised by the judges who awarded them a special Merit of Excellence. Fiona Paterson credited her team for their outstanding achievements: “We have been lucky enough to be shortlisted every year in this hotly contested team category. Although we didn’t retain our title this year, the Mark of Excellence Award goes some way to soothing our disappointment. We will be back and eager to claim the top spot again next year!”
The events teams were also shortlisted for:
Best Marketing Team
Best New Conference Launch – Latin American Refining Technology Conference
Best B2B Training Business – Central Banking Training
Best Delegate Experience – Legal Week Private Client Forum
This is the fourth year in succession that Incisive Media has scooped one of the top awards for its events and events teams.
