Incisive Media V3 Technology Awards event exceeds expectations

December 1, 2014

V3 hosted its annual Technology Awards on Friday 28 November, its most successful awards event yet

The awards give recognition to the technology companies, products, projects and individuals that have been rated as the best in the business by the V3 audience.

As the winners are chosen by reader votes, they can celebrate the fact they are rated top by their customers and IT professionals. This year more than 3,000 readers participated in the voting process.

The awards ceremony took place at the May Fair Hotel, with a champagne reception, a sumptuous lunch – the lamb was a particularly popular choice – and attendees had a chance to catch up with friends and colleagues from the IT industry over post-awards cocktails.

Guests were treated to a talk from Lauren Hyams from Code Club Pro, who gave attendees an insight into the network of after-school clubs encouraging kids to code, creating the next generation of tech-savvy workers.

V3 Editor Madeline Bennett chaired the event and presented the awards, while News Editor Dan Worth announced the winners. Click here to read more about the winners. Pictured above are award winners from Box (Best Cloud Storage) and Box and Peterborough City Council (Customer Project of the Year).

For the first time ever, the V3 Awards ceremony was a sell-out and we had our first sponsors, tribute to the hard work put into the event by Sales Manager Simeon Atkins.

The room was packed out with the 170 guests, and the feedback from everyone was glowing. A small selection is below.

“Wanted to just say that the awards on Friday were really good. Yours was really friendly and you had a good bunch of people there, which really made it. Thanks to you (and the team) for the effort.”

“We really enjoyed the ceremony so congratulations on such a great event.”

“Thanks again for a cracking, cracking day on Friday.”

Plans are already under way to make the V3 Technology Awards 2015 even bigger and better, based on this year’s success.
