IFAonline.co.uk was last night named Financial B2B Website of the Year at the prestigious Headlinemoney awards
The website, which last picked up the award in 2007, was named as the best for a trade audience at a ceremony at the Hilton on Park Lane in London.
One judge said of the site: “I really enjoyed looking at the site and it appears to me that it ticks a lot of B2B boxes by pulling together interesting news and other content, as well as providing the feel of a community that you want to keep on visiting.”
Another added: “It certainly looks like the website is in tune with its professional audience: basically it gets inside the heads of its users and I like the video element as well.”
It was a successful night for several of Incisive Media’s journalists and trade publications, with Alasdair Pal, IFAonline’s platforms correspondent, highly commended in the category for Rising Star of the Year.
Joanna Faith, the former features editor of Professional Adviser – IFAonline’s print title – and Investment Week (IW), and now editor of Your Money, won the sought-after Financial B2B Journalist of the Year award.
Elsewhere, Kyle Caldwell, senior correspondent on IFAonline‘s sister title, Investment Week, won Investment Journalist of the Year, while Nick Paler, Investment Week’s news editor, was highly commended in the same category.
There were also awards and honourable mentions across other IFAonline-affiliated websites, including a win in the Pensions Journalist of the Year category for Professional Pensions‘ Hannah Brenton, and a highly commended for Victoria Hartley, editor of Mortgage Solutions, in the award for Mortgage Journalist of the Year.
Incisive Media’s general insurance brands featured strongly too with Post‘s UK and European commissioning editor Leigh Jackson coming out on top as General Insurance Journalist of the Year, narrowly beating his colleague, senior features writer Callum Brodie. Also shortlisted in this category were Insurance Age senior reporter Andrew Pearce and reporter Caitlin Morrison.
Post was highly commended in the Best Use of Social Media (B2B) category.
