Incisive Media’s commitment to developing new journalistic talent has borne fruit with a major industry award for newcomer Jayna Rana, Investment Week’s asset management correspondent.
Rana (pictured, inset) has won the prestigious Trade Journalist of the Year gong at the Association of Investment Companies (AIC) Media Awards.
The ceremony took place on 28 September at London eaterie Mosimann’s, where Investment Week’s news editor Natalie Kenway (pictured, left) picked up the award on Rana’s behalf from Annabel Brodie-Smith of the AIC.
She is the first member of Incisive’s 2015 graduate intake to win an industry accolade, and was specifically cited as “having hit the ground running” by AIC chief executive Ian Sayers.
The AIC media awards are voted for by members of the UK asset management sector, which invests more than £80bn on behalf of its clients.
“Jayna has worked hard to get to grips with a complex subject and beat many experienced journalists to win this award,” said Investment Week’s editor Katrina Lloyd. “She is an impressive addition to the Investment Week team and I’m delighted she has been recognised in this way.”
Investment Week is the leading information brand in the asset management sector and is the flagship of Incisive Media’s retail investment portfolio.
