Editorial Training Programme

THE EDITORIAL TRAINING PROGRAMME 2012 IS NOW CLOSED FOR APPLICATIONS.

At Incisive Media, we strive to recruit and retain the best talent in the media industry. Trainees form a key part of our commitment to develop talent to build the strength of our future business.

Training and Development

Our extremely successful Editorial Training Programme offers a comprehensive introduction to a career in journalism. This combines on-the-job writing experience with a solid training programme that will maximise your editorial skills and give you a broad exposure to the exciting world of business journalism.

Through structured, classroom-based courses and on-the-job training, we will give you the launch pad to start your editorial career.

David Worsfold, group editorial services director (pictured), explains further:

david-worsfold"Incisive Media is committed to providing genuine opportunities to talented young people who want to make a career in journalism. We want people who can thrive in a challenging environment, are flexible and innovative and can marry those qualities with the ability to produce top-quality content for magazines and websites.

In return, we offer a proven, successful training and development programme that equips journalists for the muliti-media age.

From day one, our editorial trainees will have a real job on a real publication. We will set them clear targets and support them with a well-structured training programme.

Our aim is to set them up to be successful in the digital age where they can be writing a feature for a print magazine one day, producing news stories for a website the next, and making a video the day after. That is the challenging world of business journalism today.

Previous editorial trainees have progressed extremely well, some to editorships, some to our offices in New York and Hong Kong – all working on key brands, immersing themselves in their markets, still excited to see their name against an article, in print and online."
