The 12th Annual AVCJ Australia and New Zealand Forum took place in March, gathering 300 of the industry’s leading figures from 17 different countries around the world, including more than 100 institutional investors.
The forum featured 60 of the most experienced and successful private equity investors in Australasia and across the globe.
The two-day event took place at Westin Hotel. It included a keynote panel of global leaders with the top five funds in the world, a luncheon speech from the Ambassador of the United States of America, an industry veteran fireside chat, an investor ‘blind date’ competition and a panel of the biggest super-funds in Australia sharing their views on private equity. A gala dinner was held at the Museum of Contemporary Art overlooking the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
Attendance continues to grow each year and the forum is universally recognised as the most respected senior industry gathering in Australasia where participants not only get the latest information on the domestic markets, but discover the opportunities in Asia and beyond. The content generated national print and TV coverage including articles and interviews in the Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian Financial Review and on Sky News.
The AVCJ team did a fantastic job to deliver a successful forum that each year continues to grow and cement AVCJ’s position as the region’s market leader. A core four-person team on the ground, who combined have more than 26 years’ experience working on this forum, ensured that the forum met the expectations of our clients.
