BusinessGreen editor James S Murray has received Incisive’s first shortlist nomination for a British Society of Magazine Editors award. He made the grade in the keenly-competitive business and finance editor category.
Murray is one of the UK’s leading commentators on the low-carbon economy, with a focus on low-carbon policy, economics and technology. He has edited BusinessGreen since 2007 and regularly appears on TV and radio.
Under Murray’s leadership, BusinessGreen has built a reputation for shaping the green business agenda, and it is widely regarded as a must-read website for sustainability executives, clean tech entrepreneurs and environmental policymakers.
“I’m hugely honoured to be shortlisted for such a prestigious and competitive award,” said Murray. “Editors are only as good as their teams, so I’m also grateful to work with such talented journalists who are committed to reporting on issues that will shape the economy for decades to come.”
“I’m delighted that James has been shortlisted for the BSME awards,” said group publishing director Alan Loader. “He is passionate about the environmental sector and this is reflected in the way he tirelessly leads his team to deliver world-class reportage and commentary on this most timely of subjects.”
The 2018 BSME awards take place at the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane hotel on November 20. See the full shortlist at www.bsme.com/2018-bsme-awards-shortlist
