Technology website, V3 has launched a monthly interactive tablet magazine, featuring a raft of unique content not available on the website, including features, reviews and interviews on cutting-edge enterprise technologies and firms
For busy IT professionals and business leaders this will provide an ideal complement to V3’s web coverage, offering further insights and understanding of the latest technology events and wider industry trends to help shape their strategies.
John Barnes, managing director Digital & Tech for Incisive Media, explained how the V3 app fitted in with Incisive’s ambitious digital strategy: “The V3 app is the first of our our many web-only brands to create a curated monthly issue. It is a great addition to a brand that has been published online only for over 15 years, and marks a significant shift in our thinking about how all brands can extend reach through other forms of distribution”.
The V3 Tablet App went live in the Apple App Store on 8 March for iPad users, with iPhone and Android tablet and smartphone versions to follow in the coming weeks. To download the app, users either need to register free on the V3 website, or they can pay £1.99 per issue to download it as a non-subscriber.
The March issue features an in-depth analysis of the Mobile World Congress trade show and a fascinating look at the history of the mobile phone, 40 years since its birth. There is also an interview with Cern after an amazing three years of scientific experiments using its Large Hadron Collider. The first edition of the app also features an in-depth review of Google’s Chromebook Pixel laptop, including a hands-on video, and an analysis of some of the major news developments from the past month.
Commercially, the app is already proving of great interest to clients, with the first issue featuring a full-page advert from Click Software and the April edition sponsored by Intel.
