Investment Week team scores twice at 2020 Aegon Asset Management Journalism Awards

Incisive Media’s flagship investment brand Investment Week has scooped two wins at the 2020 Aegon Asset Management Awards.

The team took the Wholesale Team of the Year award and an individual gong for editor Lauren Mason, who won the Wholesale Journalist of the Year award.

The awards – formerly known as the Kames Capital Journalism Awards, and in their sixth year – took place virtually on December 2.

Aegon Asset Management is a global, active investment management brand with £347 billion of assets under management worldwide.

This is the second year that Investment Week has taken the wholesale journalist honours – the award was won by IW’s news editor Mike Sheen in 2019.

“We are over the moon with our win and I am immensely proud of the team,” said Mason. “We would like to thank Aegon, the judging panel, and our readers for their support throughout this challenging and unprecedented time.”

Mason added that the team is “chuffed” to have won the prestigious accolade, given “how hard the team has worked” in one of the most “fast-paced periods for newsflow seen for some time. Unfortunately, celebrations will have to wait until London changes tiers, but raising a glass via a Zoom call will suffice for now!”
