Professional Pensions and Investment Week hit the jackpot at the 2021 Aegon Asset Management Awards

Incisive Media’s financial brands have scored a brace of wins at the 2021 Aegon Asset Management Awards.

Professional Pensions took the Institutional Team of the Year honours, while sister brand Investment Week triumphed in the Wholesale Team of the Year category for the second year in a row.

Investment Week’s editor Lauren Mason also scored the runner up gong in the Wholesale Journalist of the Year category, and Professional Pensions deputy editor James Phillips did likewise for the Institutional Journalist of the Year award.

The awards – formerly known as the Kames Capital Journalism Awards, and in their seventh year – took place virtually on Thursday, November 25. Aegon Asset Management is a global, active investment management brand with £347 billion of assets under management worldwide.

“We are over the moon with our win and I am immensely proud of the team,” said Mason. “We would like to thank Aegon, the judging panel, and our readers for their support throughout this challenging and unprecedented time.”

Stephen Jones, CEO at Aegon Asset Management UK said: “Congratulations to the winners and runners up of this year’s awards. Their role in keeping audiences informed and updated on the ever-changing market conditions of 2021 has been pivotal.”

The Aegon Asset Management Journalism Awards are judged by a panel of more than 20 industry experts from institutional and wholesale markets. The judges are asked to nominate on the merits of journalists’ style, structure, innovation and/or the rigorous research involved in their work over the past 12 months.
