Professional Pensions celebrate 25th anniversary

The brand will mark this significant milestone with special anniversary events, a commemorative edition of the magazine, as well as a series of special features, interviews, social media content and videos throughout the year.

To celebrate hitting a quarter of a century, Professional Pensions will look back at the key events that have impacted its readers in an exclusive anniversary series. To kick-off this special programme of content, PP News Editor Hope William-Smith has asked industry veterans about policy over the past 25 years and what needs to change for the future.

Professional Pensions has evolved significantly to meet the rapidly changing information needs of its readers since 1995. In March 2020, the publication went through a complete redesign alongside the shift from a weekly to monthly magazine in response to a change in the audience’s content needs, following extensive research. The magazine has been there from the start and readers can also now catch up with all the latest coverage and analysis of occupational pensions and institutional investment online at www.professionalpensions.com, through daily email newsletters or on social media including Twitter and LinkedIn.

The brand’s events programme has grown substantially over the past 25 years, and now features flagship events including the industry-leading Professional Pensions Live (formerly PBUK), UK Pensions Awards and its Investment and DC conferences.

Professional Pensions editor-in-chief Jonathan Stapleton said: “Over the past 25 years, PP has been proud to help trustees and pension professionals conduct their role through our magazine, website and events. It is testament to the work of some great journalists that our brand has remained at the very heart of the pensions industry during a period of great change for the sector and the publishing world more broadly.

“Yet, while much has changed both at Professional Pensions and in the industry, our ambition has not and we will continue to serve trustees and pension professionals in the future, helping them in any way we can to achieve their objectives.”

Kevin Sinclair, Managing Director – Financial Services for Incisive Media, commented: “It’s a fantastic achievement for any publishing brand to reach 25 years, let alone remain relevant and a leader in its market. Professional Pensions celebrates this milestone in 2021, and continues to provide valuable insight, analysis and news to its professional audience. All of us at Incisive Media are incredibly proud of the work our current and past teams have done to ensure Professional Pensions reaches the highest of standards. Happy Anniversary PP!”
